Nein, müsste es nicht.

"Inherit" ist das Verb "erben"; "Heir(ess)" das Substantiv "der/die Erbe(in)".
Was auch gehen würde ist:
"heir(ess) to the galaxy"

siehe z.B. dict.leo.org:
Heir to the Crown --> Kronerbe
Heiress to the Throne --> Thronfolgerin
im Gegensatz zu:
to inherit money --> Geld erben
