In Gateways into Madness, the players explore a dark and twisted universe where madness exists side-by-side with great hope for humanity.
At the Antarctic research base Citadel, your characters are part of the humans who have reacted strongly to the Advanced Gene Therapy Process (AGTP) and
developed the ability to travel through a pre-human Ancient Gateway deep in the mountains of madness.
Formed into Gate Survey Teams (GST), The GST are all scratch-built groups of personnel that happen to be available at the base at the time of the gate’s first activation. Because of the rush to put teams together, the typical slow-go military process went out the window with only a two week training period before the teams are sent out into the unknown.
Without a pool of trained personnal, the GST teams had maintenance personnel, lawyers, soldiers, scientists, and even a cook.
Completely unprepared, under-equipped, understrength, the first GST teams are sent into the network of Ancient Gateways to discover the hidden worlds of the Gateways into Madness.
