Ich würde zwar tendenziell weiterhin eher mit den Originalregeln spielen, aber trotzdem schön, dass da noch was kommt. Zumindest habe ich das alte AiME als eine der gelungeneren 5e-Konversionen in Erinnerung.
Zudem finde ich das Shire Adventures-Cover durchaus schick:

... und... wo ist da jetzt der Unterschied zu "Adventures in Middle Earth"? (also außer das dies eingestellt worden ist)

Ich würde mal denkan, dass sie die Regeln von TOR 2e als Vorbild haben, so wie AiME auch TOR 1e als Vorbild für einige Regeln hatte.

Würde ich auf Mittelerde spielen (was in absehbarer Zeit nicht der Fall sein wird), würde ich TOR 2e nehmen. Allerdings scheint ja AiME eine recht große Fanbase gehabt zu haben - und FL hatte ja von Anfang an angekündigt, diese Linie ebenfalls weiterführen zu wollen.
D.h. es wird wohl die gleiche zeitliche und lokale Einordnung wie TOR 2e kriegen.

Hier haben sie es aufgeführt:
six original heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a host of terrifying adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artefacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth.
Es wird die Kulturen aus TOR 2e geben, vermutlich Anpassungen der Klassen und von TOR 2e abgeleitete Regeln für Artefakte und Reisen.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS ist – vereinfacht gesagt – die 5e Version von DER EINE RING. Die englische Ausgabe wurde für das Frühjahr 2023 angekündigt. Wir werden die deutsche Version machen und planen sie für Herbst 2023.
