Zitat
While we're still at the start, it might be a good idea to bring up some different styles of RPGs. Rather than defining them based on their external forms, we can loosely adapt Ron Edwards's GNS Theory to identify three types of gameplay styles for PC RPGs -- those focused on action, those focused on a story, and those focused on an environment. These three traits can be considered the "point" of playing each type of game. Understandably, every RPG contains all three elements but will still exhibit a tendency towards one of these types of play over the other two. A very small number of games are even flexible enough to allow players to adjust the game system to meet their own preferred style of play but these are generally exceptional.
