Games for a license to publish roleplaying products for the Blue
Planet milieu. Blue Planet is a science-fiction roleplaying game set

Allerdings weiß ich nicht, ob ich noch was für BP braucht. Soweit sieht alles vollständig für mich aus und eine neue Edition hol ich mir nicht.

Ist auch vorerst nichts weiter auf dem Schirm. Der Plan ist momentan nur, die vorhandene Reihe als eBooks zur Verfügung zu stellen und eine Community aufzubauen (bzw. der bestehenden ein Forum zu geben). Es kann sein, das eine 3rd Edition kommt wenn sie gefordert wird, aber Blue Planet ist (soweit ich das mitbekommen habe, ich stecke selbst noch nicht so tief drin) eigentlich komplett. Ich denke das eine 3rd Edition eher aufräumenden und konsolidierenden Charakter haben wird.

Es kann aber sein das neues Material kommt. Jeff Barber (einer der Original-Autoren) ist immer noch an Bord und arbeitet mit uns zusammen, und so weit ich weiss liegen bei ihm noch Manuskripte rum die nicht veröffentlicht wurden. Eventuell starten wir auch eine Shards-Reihe für Blue Planet--Abenteuer analog zu den Earthdawn- und Fading Suns Shards.

Momentan nur eBooks und eine POD-Auflage von Ancient Echoes (welches vergriffen ist und scheinbar hoch im Kurs steht).

Ja, eine Shardsreihe halte ich für sehr interessant. Außerdem würde ich mich freuen, wenn das geplante Spionagebuch "The Black Crusade" das Licht der Welt erblicken würde.

Was ich noch interessant fände und wohl auch kaufen würde, wäre eine Fortsetzung des Metaplots in einem Band inkl. massig Plothooks, also was jetzt 2199 bis Jahresende so passiert.
7te See hat sowas mit Montaigne Revolution und Rapiers Edge ja gemacht.

Wenn man das Spiel übrigens richtig fördern will, dann sollte man versuchen Romanautoren ranzubekommen, die Romane und Kurzgeschichten schreiben.

Warum eh schon tolle Regeln verändern? 

Weil mir andere Regeln geläufiger sind, ich nicht Lust habe, noch ein regelpaket im Kopf zu haben und andere Regeln auch gut sind. CP2020 wäre prädestiniert (eigentlich könnte man sogar SP2020 regeln so direkt nehmen) und SW wäre sehr zeitgemäß.
Es könnten auch Uniregeln sein, aber bei Uni scheint die Luft rauszusein.
Die CP2020 empfinde ich sogar als geeigneter als das Regelsystem von BP. (Geschmackssache, ich weiß)
Und für GURPS haben sie BP ja auch schon adaptieren lassen.
Also die Gegenfrage: Warum nicht?

Ja, im Alter ist es schwerer, sich Regeln zu merken. Ich kenn das. Ich vergess ständig was, sogar das auf's Klo gehen.

Ich mag die BP-Regeln und finde sie schön einfach. Wenn jemand dafür eine Konvertierung durchführt auf ein anderes System, weil er damit besser um kann, ist das auch cool.

Aber bietet sich nicht gerade SW an, eine Konvertierung selber durchzuführen?

@Ludo: Wenn ich Blue Planet spielen würde, dann würde ich auch auf CP2020 konvertieren.
Allerdings bin ich kein Mensch, der sowas schriftlich niederlegt, dass andere das nutzen könnten.
Wir fangen grad an, einen sehr stark an BP angelehnten Kampagnenteil zu spielen,
aber mit d20 modern Regeln. Das liegt aber daran dass die d20 Modern & Future Regeln für die anderen Kampagnenteile besser geeignet sind als CP2020.
Blue Planet ist ein geniales Setting - der Regelteil ist okay, aber ich kann nun mal mit anderen Dingen besser um.
Ausserdem bin ich alt und unflexibel. Und hab zu wenig Zeit. Und zu wenig Geld. Und auch Jammern will gelernt sein!
