Ser Davan, Heckenritter aus gutem Haus

Davan was the son of Edward Whiteman, a landed knight from the Westerlands (and distanced relative to the Lannisters) who fought on the wrong side during the Blackfyre Rebellion.
Even though his father survived, he was stripped off his lands and had to become a hedge knight, with only his sons as a page and later squire. Using any favor he had left, Edward sent the older brother Yohn was sent to the citadel to become a maester, while his younger and more aggressive son Davan remained with him, first as a page, and then as a squire.
Davan grew up to his hard and often depressive father and also became a hedge knight, inheriting only an old suit of armor and the castle-forged sword of his father after Edward Whitemane had binge drank himself to death.
As a young knight, he soon joined the services of Lord Greenfield as a sworn sword, but was accused to rape the Lord's daughter (in fact, the two had a short affair, and the girl only claimed it was rape after her father found out about it).
As a knight, Davan could proof his innocence in a trial by combat and somehow managed to win the struggle against Lord Greenfield's champion. Nonetheless, he though it was the best idea to leave the Greenfield lands and find a new acquaintace someplace else. As such, he travelled south to the reach to the castle where his brother already served as a Maester.
Norrit is son of another hedge knight, Ser Barrios of the Nightingale's Tree, and was more or less forced to squire for Ser Davan.
