You compare this to a Difficulty number, and then, depending on the margin by which you beat that number, you get a minor, moderate, major, or complete success on your attempt.
In combat situations, minor/moderate/major/complete correspond to amounts of damage. Some other situations have other specific meanings for results (maybe the Power “Fly” will let you fly at different speeds depending on your success level), and in other situations the GM can determine the result based on a common-sense interpretation of your roll."
