Auf www.gamingreport.com nachzulesen: Valar Project, Inc. to release the "Book of Erotic Fantasy" in October 2003 - the first roleplaying game, compatible with the best selling Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, that deals directly with sex and sexuality.

(Seattle, WA) A generation of fantasy roleplaying game enthusiasts grew up wondering what the elf maiden looked like without those gauzy robes. They read

"Lord of the Rings" and fantasized about Arwen. They read Conan and wondered if other fantasy heroes compared to the prowess of the legendary barbarian. In 2003 all the curiosity about sex in the realms of fantasy will be satisfied.

Valar Project, Inc. will be the first company to take on the subject of sex in the world of elves and dragons. "The gaming community is mostly college age and up", says Anthony Valterra, one of the founders of Valar Project. "For years the subject of sex in a fantasy world has been whispered about in private or the subject of Internet speculation. We are simply taking a subject that everyone is curious about and bringing it to life."

Valar Project is sparing no expense in creating a product that is innovative in its design and in its imagery. All the images in the book use live models digitally enhanced from photographs. This process allows for realistic images of elves, fairies, nymphs and other standard fantasy characters. Readers will be captivated by this provocative look at the erotic side of medieval fantasy.

The topic of the moment seems to be The Book of Erotic Fantasy. Many posts have speculated about the book and its contents.
I wish to clarify the authorship.
I am one of the book's two authors. The other does not wish to reveal his identity at this time. It is not Anthony Valterra, nor is it my husband, Andy Collins.
I've spoken with Anthony about the prospect of sharing a few excerpts from the text with the public in the near future.
The work is, indeed, focused on sex. It has an erotic slant. The topics are treated with taste, seriousness, and humor. It's not an in-your-face book.
It's a game product. One of which I'm proud to be an author. I believe it is full of good, solid rules mechanics appropriate for audiences interested in including such topics in their games.

und der Guide to Unlawful Carnal Knowledge wird gerade fuer die 3. Edition konvertiert die 2. Editions Version ist aber auch noch verfuegbar.

Wundert mich echt, daß der Widerstand gegn BoEF schon so abgeflaut ist. In der Tat finden das mehr Leute gut als schlecht.

Aber seien wir mal alle ehrlich, brauchen wir wirklich ein BOOK of erotic Fantasy für's Zocken?
Ich denke "wir" alte Rollenspielhasen haben doch genügend Fantasie/Erfahrung um am Spieltisch erotische Situationen aufkommen zu lassen.

Anyway, wenn jemand so ein Buch machen will, darf er es tun und wer's kaufen will, soll's kaufen. Deshalb erübrigt sich die Diskussion von selbst. Geschmack ist verschieden!

Außerdem möchte ich mein teures Augenlicht nicht verlieren, wenn ich haarige Zwerge in Lack&Leder sehe   - oder doch?

In der Swimsuit Edition (Nr. 7) des Argard-Magazins (EnWorld scheint ja mal wieder nicht zugaenglich zu sein) war IIRC ein entsprechendes Bild.

Anthony Valterra showed me a 36-page-or-so preview of the upcoming 192-page Book of Erotic Fantasy. From that small sample, I can say that the book seems about 50% relatively lame fan service (a Command Orgasm/Masturbation spell, with color photo illustration. Did the world need that? I'm thinking not), and 50% fairly interesting, more sophisticated stuff. The prestige classes are where a lot of the interest is - Anthony told me that co-author Gwen Kestrel is very big on classes that interrelate (quite appropriate for a sex book). The Dominator and Submissive prestige classes have abilities that complement each other, for example. There's some sort of mage that can burn actual ability stats to achieve some effects, and s/he does well paired with a "sacred prostitute" class that restores ability scores. I asked if the sacred prostitute gave you 50 hit points if you got her alone in a van, but he didn't get it.

Hmm die Prestigeklassen, die da erwähnt werden, gibt es schon in der Art. Im Supergenialen Drow-Buch "Plot & Poison" von Green Ronin.

Und sowas wie ein/eine "sacred prostitute" findet man als 20 Stufen Klasse in "Testament" (ebenfalls von Green Ronin)
