Neben Old Bones Publishing und FrostByte Books gesellt sich dieses Jahr ein weiterer 3rd Party Publisher dazu.

Aeon Games wird voraussichtlich im Dezember '19 zwei MYTHRAS-Bücher publizieren.

1. Perceforest [Mark Shirley]

"The Perceforest setting is a fictional world of high chivalry set against the forces of the primal wild.  It is based on a vast epic of the same name, written in the fourteenth century by an anonymous author, who was writing abut the lands that would later be known as England and Scotland.  At the heart of the narrative, two brothers conquer the island of Britain, wrestling it from the control of an evil enchanter king. The chivalric culture that the brothers bring to the land is under constant threat from internal and external pressures, and the epic recounts the efforts to create a lasting legacy.
The setting described in the books is that of the Perceforest saga, modified and expanded to create a new fantasy world without the explicit connection to Britain"

2. Classic Fantasy Player's Handbook [Rodney Leary]

Hierbei handelt es sich um ein CLASSIC FANTASY-Supplement, das eine Zusammenstellung aller Regeln für Spielercharaktere darstellt [Charakteroptionen, Zauber, Ausrüstung etc.]. Interessanterweise für alle Ränge 1-5, nicht nur für die Ränge 1-3 [wie in CLASSIC FANTASY]

Es handelt sich hierbei also nicht um das Unearthed Companion, an dem Herr Leary weiterhin arbeitet, und das wie gewohnt bei The Design Mechanism erscheinen wird.

Es bleibt anzumerken, dass AEON GAMES der britische Lizenznehmer von The Design Mechanism ist.
Im Gegensatz zur 100 Questen Gesellschaft e.V. muss AEON GAMES - aus verständlichen Gründen - nichts übersetzen, sondern nur leicht umformatieren und um ihr Logo ergänzt nachdrucken.
AEON GAMES ist schon seit Jahren dran eigene Hintergrundbände zu entwickeln. Jetzt geht es los.

AEON GAMES ist schon seit Jahren dran eigene Hintergrundbände zu entwickeln. Jetzt geht es los.

Bedauerlicherweise scheint es eine Verzögerung zu geben. Mark Shirley erklärt im TDM-Forum:

"There was a press release on Aeon's website some time ago, but I think it has gone now due to delays in production. Perceforest is set in a fictional world created in a massive,14th century epic of the same name. It is a setting of gallant knights, villainous enchanters, and talking animals. The high chivalry is set against a backdrop of the brooding presence of The Forest, a malevolent entity bent on mankind's destruction. There are rules for jousting and for designing and running a fief. I don't know when it is due; hopefully Aeon will have a release date soon."

Mark spricht trotzdem noch von "hopefully by the end of the year".

Da zum Classic Fantasy Player's Handbook auch keine Updates erfolgt sind [und Aeon Games die Publikation bisher nicht offiziell verkündet], können wir hier wohl ebenfalls von einer Verzögerung ausgehen.
Das heißt, die beiden Bücher kommen, aber ob es nun genau Ende 2019 ist, das ist noch nicht gewiss. Zumindest dürfen sich die deutschen MYTHRAS-Fans hoffentlich bald über ein anderes Mark Shirley-Buch freuen: Mythic Constantinople [siehe Crowdfunding]
