Game Play:The game could be played solo or two-player. The goal was to explore the "dungeon" within the 64-square area, map it, find the dungeon's single treasure, and take it home to a "secret room" without being killed by the guardian of the treasure, a man-killing dragon. If two players were playing, one player could take the treasure from the other and run for home, or lead the dragon to the other player for a bit of take-that fun. Each turn, a player could move up to 8 squares. The move was cut short if the player's miniature came up against a wall...or the dragon. All clues were given by sound. There was a sound for a successful step into a new square, one for hitting a wall, one for hitting a door (in the advanced level) one for finding the treasure, one for waking the dragon (if you got too close), one for the dragon flying, one for being attacked by the dragon, one for being killed by the dragon, and one for successfully getting the treasure home.As the game progressed, the orange wall segments built up a physical map of the dungeon. When a player got too close to the dragon or found the treasure, the dragon would awake and fly toward the adventurer until he found the adventurer and attacked him. At that point, the adventurer is struck, loses the treasure (which goes back to the treasure room), and loses several movement points. After the third attack, the adventurer is killed. The adventurer is also slowed by carrying the treasure, and if he gets back to his secret room without being attacked by the dragon, he gets a victory tune from the game. The advanced level added doors, which opened and closed randomly. This was particularly nerve-wracking, especially when the dragon was chasing you. Very disheartening.
