Ich habe mich bisher noch nicht wirklich mit Star Trek beschäftigt, ganz allgemein gesprochen. Ich habe alle Filme gesehen, einige Zeit lang Next Generation und Voyager als es im Fernsehen kam, aber das war bestimmt vor 20-25 Jahren und jeweils die erste Staffel Enterprise NX 01 und Discovery auf Netflix. Die letzten beiden Serien fand ich gut, Next Generation und Voyager finde ich meh. ToS werde ich meiden wegen Trash Faktor hoch 60er Jahre und DS 9 hatte ich bisher noch keine Zeit dazu.

Langer Post, kurze Frage: wo fange ich nun am besten an mit dem Star Trek Adventures Rollenspiel? Das Starter Set ist ja wohl überall ausverkauft. Und ich will nicht erst 30 Hintergrund Bücher/Romane/Comics lesen oder diese ganze Wiki Seite um das Star Trek Universum zu verstehen.

Das Grundregelwerk ist schon ziemlich umfangreich und spielfertig. Film- und Serienkenntnisse reichen aus.

Ich besitze sowohl das GRW als auch das Strter-Set. Ich finde Starter-Sets immer etwas Geldverschwendung. Das Grundregelwerk ist wie mein Vorredner schon sagte umfangreich und nach bedarf und Kapital kann man es mit den Ergänzungsbänden erweitern. Im Grundregelwerk ist auch erst einmal viel zu, Startrek-Universum geschrieben. Kleiner Tipp: es soll dieses Jahr bei Uhrwerk auch auf deutsch kommen. Da kann es sinn machen sich mit dem preiswerteren PDF auf englisch einzuarbeiten und dann das deutsche GRW als schickes Buch hinterher...

Im GRW wird das Setting mehr als ausreichend beschrieben. Ich, als jemand der zwar viele Episoden der meisten Serien gesehen hat aber sich nicht merken kann, hat im GRW alles dazu gelesen und es ist super gemacht. Das Starter-Set zu Star Trek Adventures ist meiner Meinung nach etwas sinnvolles, da man viel Umfang mitgeliefert bekommt.

Zum Thema Deutsche Übersetzung: Wenn ich so in mein Regal schaue und sehe, wie viel Material da bereits zu STA erschienen ist, wird dies extremst lange dauern, bis das auf deutsch erscheint, wenn überhaupt. Das sollte man auch immer bedenken.

Deswegen mache ich es genau umgekehrt. Ich besitze alle Veröffentlichungen zu Star Trek Adventures und werde mir nur das deutsche PDF dazu zulegen.

Na ja, ich unerstütze mit dem Kauf eines deutschen Star Trek auch den Uhrwerk Verlag, was man auch nicht vergessen sollte. Schwierig, am liebsten wäre mir wirklich das Starter Set gewesen.

Deswegen mache ich es genau umgekehrt. Ich besitze alle Veröffentlichungen zu Star Trek Adventures und werde mir nur das deutsche PDF dazu zulegen.

Kommen denn überhaupt deutsche PDF's. Es hörte sich so an als ob dies nicht geklärt ist.

Naja ich gehe davon aus, dass es das auch als PDF geben wird. Wenn nicht, kann ich dem Uhrwerk Verlag leider kein Geld geben. Das fände ich sehr bedauerlich.

Es gibt ja auch noch den kostenlosen Schnellstarter (beinhaltet auch ein sehr kurzes Abenteuer zum Antesten, https://www.modiphius.net/collections/star-trek-adventures/products/star-trek-adventures-quickstart-guide) sowie die kostenlosen Abenteuer der Living Campaign (https://www.modiphius.com/livingcampaign.html). Mit Starter Set und Grundregelwerk zusammen hat man da wirklich eine Menge Spielmaterial.

Das Editing ist mit jedem Buch schlechter geworden, was zu vielen Verwirrungen und unklaren Aussagen innerhalb der Texte führt.
Der Mehrwert am Spieltisch stellte sich insbesondere beim Science Division-Buch gar nicht mehr ein, da es zum Großteil Plattitüden über wissenschaftliche Arbeit mit wenig Star Trek-Bezug geboten hat. Hat mich sehr enttäuscht, da ich mir gerade von diesem Buch neuen Input für den Star Trek-Flair erhofft hatte.

Das die nächste Veröffentlichung in Zusammenhang mit den Klingonen stehen wird, ist seit der Bekanntgabe des "Day of Honor" zu vermuten gewesen.

Ich hoffe mal, dass dort auch mal die klingonische Kultur etwas näher beleuchtet wird, schließlich können ja nicht alle Krieger sein. Die anderen Berufe müssen ja auch ausgeübt werden, damit die Gesellschaft funktioniert.

Gibt eine Reihe Romane mit Klingonen, die ganz OK sind, wenn sich das Thema interessiert.

Die Texte in den paar Vorschauseiten sahen auf jeden Fall gut gemacht aus.
Da muss ich wohl demnächst mein Klingonisch wieder auffrischen.

Bin eigentlich kein Freund von Quellenbüchern mit Grundregeln.
Ich Frage mich allerdings, was sich an den Regeln geändert hat?
Lohnt theoretisch ein Grundwerk 2.0 oder sind da nur Schönheitsreparaturen gemacht worden?
